A binaural beat is not a sound in the room. The left ear gets one pure tone and the right ear gets another, a few hertz apart. Your brain follows that gap — 10 Hz sits in the alpha range, 2 Hz in delta. It only happens with separate ears, so headphones are required. This is a listening tool, not a medical treatment. Don't use it while driving.
